$240,000 verdict – Wreck Results in Broken Nose & Breathing Issues

The plaintiff suffered a concussion that resolved within two months. She sustained a grade 2 liver laceration that resolved without any treatment. The most significant injury was a broken nose that resulted in a deviated septum. The plaintiff suffered breathing problems and nasal congestion for two years until August 2020 when she had the deviated septum surgically repaired. No future damages were presented at trial. The trial was Richmond Circuit Court’s first civil jury trial since the start of the COVID-19 pandemic. The judgment has been paid.
